~Helping Feed our Community: You Can Help~
The Downtown Business Association is partnering with the Food Bank for
Larimer
County
for the fifth year. Participating restaurants will provide opportunities for you to support the Food Bank for
Larimer
County by the way of donation envelopes
. The Food Bank for
Larimer
County
can provide a meal for a member of our community for as little as $0.25. So as diners enjoy a meal, they will also be giving a meal! Last year we raised over $14,000 to help feed the hungry in our community, be a part of that success again this year!
Why donate to the Food Bank for Larimer County?
The Food Bank for Larimer County is the only food bank serving Larimer County. In 2007 they distributed 5.6 million pounds of food to hungry people in our community. This is the equivalent of over 4.1 million meals, and is valued at $9.5 million. No one in our community needs to go hungry! For every dollar donated during Great Plates the Food Bank for Larimer County till provide enough food for 4 meals to feed a family in need!
